Checking In...

Ben had his 4 month well check today. Except for his sensitive, irritated skin, all is well! He was 16 lbs and 3 ounces and over 25 inches long. Poor little guy though, he has cradle cap and pretty bad eczema on his little head. I never experienced ANY of this with Hank. He has my skin and has never had a problem a day in his little 3 year old life. We pretty much used anything on Hank and always washed his clothes with ours. He even tans in the sun, never burns. Benjamin is going to be a totally different kid. He has very fair, sensitive skin and even got some special creams from the doctor today. Most of his hair has fallen out as well. Hank was born with more hair than Ben has now.

I forget to mention, Ben was in the 75th percentile in weight and height. We need to call him Big Ben from now on.

Our pedi rocks. We love Dr. S.!!!! We came home with 4 cans of our formula (samples that are going to expire soon) and a box of soap and a box of creams......they are only little sample size, but it's not a cheap soap! He gave us the whole box instead of one tiny bottle:)

We are also now at the point where we are going to have to watch we say MORE than ever in front of Hank. I always knew the day would come. Ok, well, it has come and gone twice before, how soon I forget.

Some of you remember him saying the "S" word when he was one and another not so nice 2-word phrase last year. Today, I used "stupid" in front of a noun and he promptly corrected me by saying, "Mom, we don't say stupid. That's not a nice word." This morning we were getting ready for school (Reid wasn't even anywhere near us) and out of the blue, he said, "You gotta watch out for Daddy's nu***." Uh, huh. Watch what you say. At least we weren't in public.
